Colliers Project Leaders

Join us for Inclusion, Diversity, Equity and Allyship’s (IDEA) inaugural event which features a fireside chat with Lisa Wardell, CEO of Adtalem. The event will be moderated by Arlene Dedier, Director at Colliers Project Leaders. The goal of the event is to showcase the influential contribution of women and BIPOC women leadership in building the workplace of the future.
We will be having a candid and timely conversation about the journey to leadership from a women’s perspective, examining the barriers that women face in the workplace and the solutions to the lack of diversity in the C-Suite and senior leadership positions. We will also be discussing the multitude of benefits that can be accrued if equity is attained.
Wardell is the only African American Female Chairman and CEO in the S&P 400 Index – Adtalem. Women of Colour hold less than 11% of management roles, less than 8% of senior management roles and less than 4% of executive roles in US Fortune 500 Companies. Under Wardell’s leadership, gender and ethnic diversity has increased at the Adtalem board to 67%, and within Adtalem’s senior leadership to 75%.

Wardell’s story will showcase the accomplishments in Diversity, Equity and Inclusion (DEI) achieved at Adtalem, and will confirm the importance of collective and structured efforts towards creating an equitable workplace environment. Her story will also shed light on the hardships she encountered along the way. She is an inspiration as well as a leader who has successfully forged a path towards a more inclusive and diverse workplace.
