Janis Duncan was an inaugural member of Toronto CREW and served on the Board of Directors for five years, two as President. In her capacity as a Vice President in Cushman & Wakefield’s Office Leasing Division, Janis was one of Toronto’s top female commercial brokers, focusing on major tenants in the Greater Toronto Area. She was also a founding member and past chair of Gateway Canada, a volunteer women’s organization within Cushman & Wakefield whose mandate is to promote an environment of opportunity for attracting, retaining and advancing professional women.
Janis is the founder of "More Than an Occasion", an event planning company that focuses on empowering organizations to engage their employees in team building activities which foster a winning culture. Her company focuses on three silos: women’ s networking events, internal team building events and client appreciation events. Her volunteer activities with Ronald McDonald House, Junior Achievement and Junior League Toronto continue to allow her to make valuable contributions to the community.
