  • Toronto CREW supports a variety of charitable groups with the purpose of promoting women’s success. In 2006, a donor-advised fund known as the Toronto CREW Foundation was established by a formal agreement with the Toronto Community Foundation when Toronto CREW decided it wanted to increase the impact of its existing outreach activities. While Toronto Community Foundation continues to manage our endowment funds Toronto CREW has built relationships with a diverse mix of charitable organizations throughout Toronto and Southern Ontario.

The strategic priorities of the Toronto CREW Foundation are to support the advancement of women in real estate and the overall advancement of women’s issues and education.

2015 Programs Supported by Toronto CREW

The Centre for Skills Development and Training - Women in Skilled Trades Program
The Centre has been running a carpentry program for women since 1998. Over 300 women have graduated, moving to successful careers in construction and trades. The goal of the program is to help low income women become financially stable by obtaining careers in the construction industry in a trade.

YWCA – Toronto Education and Training Institute
The Toronto Education and Training Institute administrative clerk certificate program is an in-class, instructor-led program that focuses on developing the necessary business skills for working in a business environment and provides ongoing support to program participants.

United Way – Interpreter Services Toronto
Interpreter Services Toronto operates a program that provides free training and certification for immigrant and refugee women fleeing domestic violence, and hires them on a freelance basis as professional language interpreters.

These programs would not be possible without the dedication and commitment of our Toronto CREW members, who volunteer their time and energy to make these programs so successful.
