MENTORSHIP PROGRAMME

 

Toronto CREW is dedicated to assisting young women in commercial real estate stay in the business of real estate by providing experienced mentors who can impart industry knowledge and professional guidance.  The Mentorship Program is designed to benefit these young women in ways that encourage them to continue to pursue a career in commercial real estate and assist them in fulfilling their professional goals.

Information regarding the 2017 Program has now been confirmed.

The key facts you need to know to participate in this invaluable program are:

For Mentors:  

  • Be an Active member of Toronto CREW
  • Participate in a training session and luncheon (mandatory for new mentors, Friday January 13, 2017 from 11:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.)
  • Participate in an evening matching event to meet all participating mentees (Tuesday, January 17, 2017, from 5:00 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.)
  • Agree to meet a minimum of one hour per month with your mentee
  • Submit an electronic picture of yourself for the purpose of the matching event

For Mentees:

  • Be employed in the commercial real estate industry and have more than 1 year and less than 5 years of experience in the commercial real estate industry as of July 31, 2016
  • Participate in an evening training session (Tuesday, January 10, 2017 from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.)
  • Participate in an evening matching event to meet all participating mentors (Tuesday, January 17, 2017, from 5:00 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.)
  • Agree to meet a minimum of one hour per month with your mentor
  • Submit a letter of reference from a senior member of the real estate profession outlining why they recommend the applicant for Toronto CREW's Mentorship Program (this must accompany the application form for the application to be considered complete)
  • Submit an electronic picture of yourself for the purpose of the matching event
  • Mentee applicants are not required to be members of Toronto CREW, however priority and preference will be given to those who are Toronto CREW members in good standing. If accepted into the Program, Mentee participants will be required to become members of Toronto CREW in before the first official meeting.
