Call for Volunteers!

Volunteers needed at the Spring Leadership Summit!

News Article:

We are looking for volunteers to host evening Dine Arounds, serve at the Hospitality Table and lead the CREW Net/Walk/NetRun during the upcoming Spring Leadership Summit. If you are planning to attend the Leadership Summit, these are great ways to meet new people and show CREW members from across North America what Toronto has to offer. Details about these opportunities can be found below.

Hospitality Table
The hospitality table is used to provide local information including attractions, services, dine arounds, NetWalks/NetRuns, shopping, maps, brochures, restaurant recommendations, etc. Our chapter leads the development of the hospitality table and we are looking for volunteers to serve at the table and provide information to out of town guests. 2 people per shift, with shifts of 2-3 hours each.

Dine Arounds
The Thursday and Friday night CHAPTER HOSTED dine arounds are offered to attendees NOT serving as delegates or local presidents. We are looking for volunteers to host these dine arounds at local restaurants downtown for 8-10 people. Volunteers are asked to arrive at the hotel at approximately 5:30 pm and manage the group along with their transportation to the venue. Reservations are typically made for 6:30 or 7:00 pm and will run about 2.5 hours. Toronto CREW will organize all reservations in advance for both days of the Summit.

NetWalks/NetRuns are planned and hosted by the Chapter and we are hoping to have both a walk and a run so that there is a comfortable activity level for everyone. These will be scheduled for Friday morning to begin at 6:00 a.m., returning no later than 7:00 a.m., thus allowing time for attendees to clean up and have breakfast prior to the council meeting. All activities should take place on hotel grounds or within walking/running distance of the hotel. We are looking for 2-3 volunteers to guide out of town guests on a route along the waterfront. Volunteers for this will need to be at the hotel at 5:45 am to organize the group. A great opportunity for the joggers out there!
